Wealth is often sold as a feeling — freedom, ease, arrival. But the Stoics understood something the marketing does not: money that owns you is not wealth. It is a leash with a longer chain.
The measure isn't how much you have. It's how calm you remain when a portion of it disappears. If a bad month rearranges your identity, you were not wealthy — you were leveraged emotionally.
Build the inner surplus first. The outer one becomes far easier to keep.
